What a whirlwind few weeks! Hope you and your family have enjoyed a wonderful holiday! We had a perfect combination of parties, concerts, family gatherings, as well as attending the most beautiful Masses on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, followed by three days of being snowed in after a blizzard. Joe's brothers were snowed in with us which greatly increased the fun factor! We actually could have made it out of the house if we had to, but it was nice having an excuse to do nothing but hang out by the fire reading, watching movies, playing video games and board games, and eating way too much junk food.
Came across this project and thought it might come in handy for any last minute New Year's Eve plans - the papers are from an old Karen Foster Design release but the technique would work with any papers. Remember making things out of tubes of rolled up newspaper when you were a kid? The top of the hat is made the same way - roll up a leftover piece of scrapbook paper and then start "fringing" the pieces as you work your way down. Tape inside a party hat made from another piece of paper and add some more fringe along the bottom edge. I made some coordinating wine glass charms from matching embellishments and hoop earring jewelry findings.
Wishing you all good things in the coming year!
