Today is the first full day of school for my two younger boys and the house sure feels empty and quiet. However, my to-do list is l-o-n-g and even though I miss having them around, it will be nice to get back into more of a routine.
Have you signed up for Crafts 'n things Weekly newsletter? Loads of inspiration delivered right to your email every week... you can check it out here: Crafts 'n things Weekly. I have a back to school card in this issue that would be fun to give any teacher or student, as the pocket on the front is sized perfectly for a gift card. Actually, given the crazy amount of money I spent this week on back to school clothes and supplies, it might be most appreciated by a parent.
You can find a complete supply list and instructions in the August 29, 2012 issue of Crafts 'n things Weekly.
Another reason it is so quiet around here is that my oldest son left for college on Monday. I miss him so much... but at the same time I am thrilled that he is so happy and I'm excited for all the new experiences and adventures he will have over the next four years.
Here is a picture of his dorm... he has two roommates and they share two bedrooms, plus a common room. Their room is one of the ones with the bump out, which is a window seat in the common room. They have a list in each room that names everyone who has lived in that particular dorm room since the late 1800's and guess who previously lived in James' room when he was a freshman? Matt Damon! pretty cool, huh?
Counting the days till the next school vacation.... in the meantime, I'm off to tackle that to-do list.
