Have you tried using washi tape yet? It has become so popular in the craft world that I thought it would be fun to try to make my own. I created a step-by-step tutorial over on the Therm O Web blog showing how to make custom washi. The sky is the limit in term of patterns and colors and you can use stamps to coordinate with the rest of your project.
This is the sample card - the washi strips were all created using the same technique - you can even have decorative edges, such as the scalloped edge one here.
There are two key things you will need to make washi - one is a sheet of iCraft adhesive and the second is a paper napkin.
In no time at all you can have an assortment of custom washi all ready to use on your next project.
Just peel off the backing sheet and apply - it looks a bit transparent - just like the real thing.
Here are a few strips applied to the card. One of the best parts - it doesn't cost much to make. I made all of the strips above using just a single sheet of iCraft.

Thanks for visiting. Hope you have a great day!
