I must sound like a broken record, but honestly... how did it get to be May already? Every year seems to go by so much faster than the last. Summer used to last f - o - r - e - v - e - r when I was a kid... now it zooms by, much like every other time of year.
This project is something that I posted a few years ago, but the old (lousy) images keep getting pinned so I thought I would re-edit them so folks would have something better to look at. I used a chipboard cone and calendar themed papers to create a simple May Day basket - perfect for filling with flowers or treats and hanging on a neighbor's door. If you like this idea, please pin these images, not the dark and gloomy ones from years past.
Does anyone else remember dancing around the May pole? I remember that we used to do that in school each year and it always started out so sweet and elegant and ended with us all in a laughing, tangled mess. Such fun memories.
So many things to love about the month of May - getting back out in the garden, graduations, school concerts, putting the screens in all the windows and eating dinner on the porch... and my personal favorite, Mother's Day. I'm already dreaming about sleeping in and having breakfast in bed.
Hope your month is off to a wonderful start!
