Do you have a few home decor pieces that could use some updating? If so, it only takes a few minutes along with some beautiful papers and the right adhesive to give them a face lift. This started out as an inexpensive frame from IKEA and an old sponge painted vase I made in a ceramics class during the early 90s.
(and yes, that is a bunch of cilantro in the photo... didn't have any flowers on hand and didn't have time for a trip to the store.)
This is so quick and easy - and it is a fun way to experiment with trendy colors on a budget. Just cover the pieces you want to alter with iCraft adhesive. I used tape, but it comes in sheets for larger items.
Cut your paper to size. I used some really pretty debossed papers from DCWV Letterpress pad.
Remove the liner from the adhesive and attach the paper - easy peasy.
Probably took about 10 minutes total... certainly less time that it would take to go to the store and search for just the right piece in the color I want... and definitely less expensive.
If you would like to be entered in a drawing to win a Letterpress pad along with an assortment of adhesive, head on over to the Therm O Web blog to enter. CLICK HERE to enter giveaway.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you have a minute, I'd love it if you can leave me a comment letting me know what types of projects are your favorites - cards, scrapbooks, mini albums, home decor, gifts, other?.... I'm working on some new things and would love to get your input. Thanks!
