Hi there! I wanted to post another card before the week is over and this one is squeezing in just under the wire. Not sure where the time has gone this week. It's been busy between getting back into the regular school/work routine and starting to put away the holiday decorations (please tell me I'm not the only one whose tree is still up?).
Here is a quick and easy card to send to a friend this season. The products are all part of the latest winter collection from Karen Foster Design.
One of the secrets to using stickers as the focus of a card is to add some dimensional embellishments. I think this helps the card from looking flat and kind of boring. Here gemstone brads help add a bit more sparkle, as well as glitter on the mat around the sentiment.
I really like using foam adhesive with stickers too. A little bit of extra pop really helps. Another "embellishment" that I used on this card is the white paper clip. Initially the paperclip was just to hold the sentiment block in place so I could decide if I liked its position, but then I decided that I really liked the way the paperclip looked, so it stayed. Sometimes it helps me to look at a project from a distance - that's why I needed the clip. (I'm putting off getting glasses for as long as possible!)
That's all I have for this week. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
