Hi there. Since I last posted I've been on quite a roller coaster ride. Immediately after the surgery we were told the tumor was benign... then a few days later that the pathologist had seen some atypical cells which needed more investigation... then it took another four weeks to find out that the tumor was actually malignant and quite rare. They don't really have a protocol as to how it should be treated, but I'm seeing the head of gyn oncology at Dana Farber who has treated two of these cases before and she feels confident that the chemo cocktail she has in mind will do the trick. It has been a very emotional process, but all in all I feel optimistic and am determined to do whatever it takes to beat this thing. My husband and kids have been amazing and I am blessed with a lot of family and friends who have rallied behind me.
While I was still in the hospital recovering from surgery - and somewhat in a morphine-induced fog - I was checking out some favorite crafty sites on my phone when I saw that the latest issue of CardMaker was out. It was such a nice surprise to see one of my cards on the cover!
I hope you have a wonderful summer with lots of good things to celebrate. I'll be looking forward to celebrating my last treatment in a few months.
I'd love it if you keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I embark on the next leg of this adventure. I have taken a step back from all my design teams and obligations, but hope to carve out time here and there to create things just for fun. I'll post here as I can. In the meantime, feel free to connect with me on Facebook or Pinterest.
