Like so many paper crafters, I've become a big fan of Copic markers and have been on the lookout for a good storage solution that wouldn't break the bank. I wanted something that would allow me to sort the markers into their color families and was compact enough to sit on my desk. I rarely go to crops, so portability wasn't important to me.
I did some browsing online (and I'm sorry I can't remember where I first spotted this idea - but a big thank you to whoever it was!!) and came across this site that sells all kinds of display products to retail stores - this counter top make up pencil display piece seemed perfect.... and I think it is!
When I first started buying these markers, I would buy one here and one there... different types and colors with no real rhyme or reason... then I took a class and figured out how to use them and how important the numbering system is and I wish I had started out buying only Sketch markers... oh well. I have used my label maker to add a number to the end of each of my Ciaos which helps, but it still doesn't look as nice :)
Each cup holds one or two color families. I figured out that each cup can hold 10 Sketch markers, 7 Original (square) markers, or 12 Ciaos. The cup also holds my air brush system and the small can of air.
There is even a little space in the back that is perfect for my Copic color chart.
What do you think? I even love that there is a bit more space for a few more markers if they happen to find their way into my shopping basket :)
The only bummer was that the shipping was a bit pricey... but I split the order with a friend so it wasn't too bad. And, no, unfortunately I'm not getting any kind of kickback from this company :)
Have a great day!
