Where did this week go? Friday already...and the last day of our Karen Foster Design Sneak Peeks and Giveaway. You can enter the drawing to win a big assortment of brand new KFD goodies simply by leaving a comment on this post - and you can leave a comment on each KFD post from this past week for even more chances to win. I will be selecting a winner at random and posting the results tomorrow morning - so you have until I wake up tomorrow to enter and to tell your friends to enter :)
Today I am showing you some projects from my favorite line, Bon Appetit - actually it is my favorite paper - you know the one that you want to frame and hang on the wall? Isn't this gorgeous? You have to click on it to get the enlarged view that really shows a lot of the details and layering in this paper - I love the wine label text in the background. This photo doesn't really do it justice - in person the colors are just a wee bit more vivid.
This is my second favorite paper - I fully intended to create a layout about my herb garden but ran out of time.
I didn't get to the layout, but I did create a recipe box. This started life as an inexpensive wooden box from the craft store. I drilled a small hole in the front and used one of the new Treasure Brads as a pull - I put a few drops of Diamond Glaze in the hole to keep that brad held securely in place.
Don't you just love this paper?!
I also used this collection to make a card - the cafe table and chairs are one of the Clearly Stickers - cut extremely close to the edge - they work like a sticker - but look like a rub-on.
Close up of the Treasure Brad
This sticker was what gave me the idea for the card - reminds me of the very infrequent weekends away with the girls...
The last project I made is a wine journal - I know my husband and I are always saying things like "do you remember that wine we had last weekend..." and then we don't :) So once this book makes its way back to me from CHA, it will become a place to jot some quick notes about wines that we have enjoyed. I used a 6x6 Layer By Layer Chipboard Book as the base.
I added some Winery Mini Charms to the cover
Treasure Brad
another Treasure Brad
and a brand new Stacked Sticker
another Treasure Brad
the inside back cover...just because I love the paper so much :)
and a little humor on the outside back cover - this is one of the Cardstock Stickers.
Phew - that's it - thanks for sticking with me!
You can see the entire Bon Appetit collection here.
So don't forget to leave a comment to be entered in the drawing and if you haven't checked out some of the other DT member blogs this week, be sure to stop by.
Come by tomorrow morning to find out if you've won the big prize!

Cute! Now if I just had time to do recipe cards too...in addition to all the scrapping I'm behind on I'd be all set. I could definitely use more "thyme"!

I didn't get here in time to be considered for the prize but this is a really nice line Alice. If you have any tips for getting a quick handle on weeds, let me know. I have some that grew too quickly for me the week my niece & nephew were here. Hope you're having a good summer??

Alice, my first visit to your blog & I love it! I so want to make a wine journal like this for my Bro & Sis-in-law for Christmas.
I'm assuming you created the headings on your computer? Also, where you put region/wine/yeat/notes... is that computer generated?
The link to the BonAppetit collection, is that something a person like me can buy online or do I have to be a shop-owner?
Whew, lots of questions...! But I really want to make this! Hope to hear from you!
