Good Morning everyone! Hope you had a wonderful weekend - the weather here has finally been cooperating and yesterday was one of those perfect lazy summer days - sunny and warm, but not humid - love it!
Now, are you ready for some fun from Karen Foster Design?
This week members of the design team will be sharing lots of sneak peeks from Karen Foster Designs' new products that will be debuting at CHA Summer. Along with the new project ideas, each of us will also be hosting a great giveaway!
To be entered in the contest that I am hosting all you need to do is leave a comment on my blog this week. I will be posting sneak peeks every day this week from Monday through Friday and you can leave a comment on each post in order to increase your chances of winning. First thing Saturday morning I will be choosing one winner from all the comments to receive a big assortment of brand new products from Karen Foster Design!
First up - Cowboy. Isn't this little guy adorable? wish I could take credit for these photos, but I wound up using stock for these.
and a few of the details - I added some eyelets and tied a charm on with Scrapper's Floss (at the risk of being really redundant - I just LOVE that stuff!)
I tied on another charm for the title
I like to add dimension to flat stickers - here I added some eyelets and more Scrapper's Floss.
This guy isn't too bad either, huh? another stock photo...
Layering of the papers and some more eyelets tied with jute
These are some of the brand new embellishments - Treasure Brads
This is a card I made using the Cowboy products
I punched holes along the top and bottom edges and stitched it with ...Scrapper's Floss, of course :)
I made this corkboard using a $1 frame from Michaels and a Stacked Statement from KFD. I thought it would be really cute in a little boy's room. You could make this as a gift for well under $10.
the detail on these Stacked Statements is really something...
okay - are you still with me? I know this is a long post - but I made a ton of projects to share this week - 35 in all!
Here are a few from the Calendar Creations line. In the Calendar pack, you get twelve sheets of monthly themed papers and the most adorable set of twelve cardstock stickers to match...I'm really hoping to see some more embellishments to go with some of the awesome images on the stickers...my fingers are crossed :)
First off, I used the papers and stickers to make some calendar pages. KFD also sells a coordinating spiral bound calendar that works perfectly with these papers/stickers if you want to make an actual calendar - but they also work well on their own to make a monthly summary page - and could work for all the Project 365 fans too.
a close up of the apple - I just cut it all out of cardstock and inked it up a bit
and the coordinating calendar grid page (I used the strips of paper I trimmed off the top layout to use on the grid page)
I used one of the new Bubble Brads to highlight Stephen's birthday
But these papers can be used for so much more than scrapbook pages/calendars (I feel a bit like an infomercial here...but wait, that's not all you can do with the Calendar Creations kit...)
I used the May theme to create a little May Day basket to hang on a neighbor's door
I placed a sticker on a flower and attached it with a Fancy Brad
and I used Therm O Web's Super Tape to hold the ribbon in place - I put tape around the edge of the cone and also used a little piece to hold each pleat in place.
I'm always trying to think of new ways to use some of the many, many different types of brads that Karen Foster Design makes and this card is one of my favorites...I used four of the Birthstone Brads to create a shamrock design that went well with the March paper and stickers.
a bit of wire twisted together made the perfect stem
Well that's it for today.
Be sure to leave a comment on this post to be entered in the drawing and don't forget to check back every day this week for lots more ideas and for more chances to win!

Hi Sally - I think my fairies are on strike... I've been slowly working through the mess and now have a big enough spot cleaned up to get back to work :)

Hi Robin - he is a cutie, huh? ...actually both the cowboys aren't bad ;) wish I could take credit here, but I wound up using stock photos for these layouts - couldn't bribe my own boys to put on a cowboy hat and pose for mom LOL
