I can't believe Halloween is less than a week away! Still so much to do... the last month or so has flown by and I'm afraid updating my blog has gotten lower and lower on my to-do list. With the holidays upon us, I will be back more frequently to share many of the projects I've made over the last few months.
This is a Halloween card I created for Karen Foster Design's Summer Release. I love that it uses one of their new $5.99 stamp sets - hard to beat that price and stamps make it so easy to reproduce.
This came together really fast - I'll show you how I did it. First I stamped the vampire image onto Soft Stone cardstock (wanted to get the skin tone just right ☺) and then I colored in the teeth with a white gel pen.
Next, I colored in the rest of the vampire with Copic markers.
I stamped the sentiment directly onto the Fright Night paper using watermark ink and heat embossed with a sparkly purple powder. I used a white colored pencil to highlight the letters.
Difficult to photograph, but it really is nice and sparkly in person.
I cut out my vampire and used my favorite dimensional adhesive - Therm O Web's foam squares - to attach the stamped vampire and ghost sticker. It's amazing how much difference a little bit of foam can make to the finished card!
Hope your Halloween plans are coming together. It's always been one of my favorite holidays... I mean, come on... it's a holiday centered around candy... what's not to like?
