If you ever find yourself vacationing on Cape Cod, be sure to include Mayflower Beach on your list of places to visit. Mayflower Beach is (in my opinion) one of the Cape's perfect spots... miles of flat sandy beach, picturesque dunes, and if you stay late enough in the day, or visit during the off-season, you'll feel like you have the beach to yourself.
I took these photos of my friend playing with her grandkids... yes, I said grandkids! Doesn't she look amazing?! I love the way they turned out and was happy to use them on this layout for Me & My BIG Ideas using their beach themed scrapbook kit.
Everything used on this layout except the paint is included in the kit. I dry brushed aqua paint on the paper to help create a home for the title. The texture of the glittered chipboard alphabet stickers reminds me of sand.
Stripes were cut from one of the papers and pieced together to create the rustic looking frame.
I love all the little details that Mambi adds to their products, such as the glitter around the edge of this sticker.
The kit includes an assortment of ocean themed stickers, as well as spots to add journaling.
Spending the late afternoon/early evening at the beach is one of our favorite things to do in the summer. Where is your favorite place to spend a hot summer day?
Lovely photos and lovely layout. I can tell I'm going to have to get that kit to scrap some of my beach photos. It would even be a fun kit to use the elements on a card.
The beach has always been my favorite place. It was a difficult decision to choose between staying close to the beach or living near family. Now there is a beautiful bay which has become my place to cool off and explore with my dogs.
Hope one day to get to Mayflower beach and see some of the beautiful area you live in. Thanks for sharing!
