Hello and a special welcome to any first time visitors! I'm so happy to be joining in the CardMaker/Taylored Expressions blog hop today. Both teams are featuring images and coordinating dies from Taylored Expressions fun monthly kits. You can find a list of previous Stamp of the Month sets HERE.
I am working with the September 2013 stamps and dies and love how the flower images look paired with the graphic arrow die.
The arrow was die cut from blue metallic cardstock and the pieces were used to create a border along the top and bottom. I stamped the assorted flower images onto white cardstock to create my own patterned paper and cut this with the same die. The negative pieces were used to fill in the outline die cuts. Dark blue cardstock was die cut to fill in some of the smaller pieces.
The metallic cardstock is a challenge to photograph, but I love the way it looks different depending on the light.
The flowers used as the focal point were colored with Copics and layered with petals die cut from white cardstock. I love the way the white pops against the blue background. So many possibilities with this set! I also used the arrow die to create the banner around the sentiment. There are more ideas in the Taylored Expressions Gallery.
Now for some exciting news...
Taylored Expressions is giving away one stamp set from the Stamp of the Month Archives (plus its coordinating die) to one lucky winner! To enter, leave a comment on each participating designer's blog. Winner will be chosen at random from all comments. Comments close midnight PST on Friday, November 22, 2013.
Enjoy the rest of the hop!
Alice Golden <== You are here.
